Box Office Assistant and Building Monitor for Arts Center
Choate Rosemary Hall seeks an Arts Center Box Office Assistant and Building Monitor for immediate hire.
This is a non-benefits eligible, part-time position that runs during the school year. The required hours include evening and weekend assignments throughout the school year.
Job duties include:
- Providing ticketing services to both on-campus and off-campus patrons and event setup, for student and guest artist productions; typically, three nights per performance, four performances per term, and three terms per academic year.
- Ensuring a safe environment in which students are engaged in artistic practice, rehearsals, arts club activities and more. Walking through the various spaces to maintain a supportive presence, and an awareness of building use and occupancy. Sweeping through the spaces at the end of the day to ensure all students have exited at closing time.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably adolescents.
- Previous experience in residential academic settings strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the performing arts field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, good judgment, and ability to work as a team member.
- Must be able to ascend/descend six flights of stairs with frequency.
