Theater Teacher

Choate Rosemary Hall is seeking a theater teacher with a start date of August 2021. Candidates must have a record that demonstrates experience within the profession both as a director and teacher. The successful candidate will teach a comprehensive acting and directing curriculum that includes facilitating performances of student directed scenes and one person plays; directing at least one or two main stage productions per year; mentoring students in Choate’s signature Arts Concentration Program; contributing to the development and decolonization of the theater program curriculum; engages collaboratively with colleagues in the theater program and the Arts Department. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ways in which inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to instruction, directing, and course design. Ideal candidates are expected to have at least three years of experience teaching and directing and a desire to model a love for theater.
